New Publication: Why Was This Spring and Early Summer So Cold in BC?
The Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium is pleased to present the Sept. 12 special issue of PCIC UPDATE, titled "Why was this spring and early summer so cold in BC?", now available for download from our publications library.
For much of British Columbia spring and early summer 2011 seemed unusually cold and wet at the same time that other parts of Canada were breaking warm temperature records. In this article, PCIC climatologists Faron Anslow and Dave Rodenhuis answer the title question through a review and detailed analysis of climate data available from Environment Canada and the BC government's Climate Related Monitoring Program.
