Nicholas Heap, the BC Regional Director of the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CANWEA) will present on the case for wind energy in BC, followed by a Q&A session with participants.

A year from now, the world’s wind turbines will produce more electricity than the entire Canadian economy consumes. Production from Canada’s existing wind farms is already sufficient to power every household in Greater Vancouver and Greater Victoria – that’s 60% of the total households in the province.

Development in British Columbia is still in its early stages, but it’s already clear that wind energy is a particularly good fit to the province and its needs. Learn more about the case for wind energy in BC, including the economic and environmental advantages that increased generation would bring to the province, as well as the remaining challenges to more implementation of this green technology.
