New PCIC Update
The January 2021 edition of the PCIC Update is now out. It opens with an article on Supporting Water Planning in BC, which covers work that that PCIC has done in partnership with the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy and the Ministry of Forestry, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development, using the hydrologic modelling of PCIC's Hydrologic Impacts theme to support decision-making in the water planning community. The next story is on Developing Risk Assessment Tools for Salmon Habitat Management. This covers this work of PCIC researchers being done under the British Columbia Salmon Restoration and Innovation Fund, to develop risk-assessment tools that will support the regional management and planning of salmon habitat that takes climate change into consideration. The final story is on Engaging with the Agricultural Community, which looks at user engagement by the Climate Analysis and Monitoring theme at a workshop organized by BC's Agricultural Climate Adaptation Research Network. The staff profile in this issue is a joint one, highlighting the contributions of co-op students Jessie Booker and Cairo Sanders. It also contains PCIC staff news and publications.
