New PCIC Science Brief: Human-Induced Greening of the Northern Extratropical Land Surface
PCIC is pleased to announce the release of our next Science Brief. This Science Brief covers recent research by Mao et al. (2016) published in Nature Climate Change. Using satellite observations and global climate model output, the authors conduct a detection and attribution analysis and find that the observed greening of the land surface between 30-75° north over the 1982-2011 period is largely due to anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions.
