Sea Level Rise Adaptation Primer Released

The BC Ministry of Environment has recently released a Sea Level Rise Adaptation Primer. This primer discusses a variety of tools and strategies that planners and governments have available to them to deal with sea level rise. The Primer covers emergency planning and risk management, as well as physical methods, such as dune protection, building-up beaches, sea walls and dikes. It also covers policy methods, such as development permits and land use regulation.

The primer was commissioned by the BC Ministry of Environment and prepared by Arlington Group Planning + Architecture Inc., assisted by EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd., DE Jardine Consulting and Sustainability Solutions Group.
