PCIC Publishes Strategic Plan 2012-2016

The PCIC Strategic Plan for 2012-2016 is available for download from our publications library.

The Pacific Climate Impact Consortium's success is owed in large part to its dedication to the timely  fulfillment of its three service objectives:

  • To PROVIDE climate observations and future climate projections specific to the PCIC study region
  • To PROVIDE analysis of the impacts of climate variability and change on regional climate and water resources
  • To PROVIDE interpretation of regional climate information specific to user needs

The PCIC Strategic Plan for 2012-2016 details how we will continue to fulfill our service objectives with excellence, through three strategic objectives:

  • To ENSURE that PCIC has the scientific and information resources that are necessary to support its service delivery objectives
  • To BUILD partnerships that enable service delivery and support our applied science program
  • To MAINTAIN operational and managerial excellence

We will continue to deliver information under the three service objectives by following a comprehensive approach that recognizes the complex and diverse user-base for climate information. The modes of delivery of this information range from online tools to user-commissioned reports containing information that is sufficiently robust so that it can be acted upon by users.
