Yaheng Tan

PhD Student

Yaheng Tan is a PhD student at PCIC, co-supervised by Dr. Francis Zwiers and Dr. Song Yang (School of Atmospheric Sciences in Sun Yat-sen University). Her research interests are extreme temperature and precipitation. Her work at PCIC is to investigate the relationship between atmospheric rivers and extreme precipitation in the current and future climate. Before coming to PCIC, she had conducted research on warm day frequency over South China during the spring and the semiannual oscillation of sea surface temperature over the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.
